Forensics is the application of medical facts to legal issues and proceedings. A forensic examiner is a medical professional who by virtue of education, experience, specialized training, and knowledge is qualified to render expert opinions in response to questions regarding adherence to standards of care and acceptable parameters within their profession and areas of expertise.
Demand for specialized postgraduate training in the field of forensics has grown over the past three decades.
